Editor's Note
Introducing bubble harmonics
Back in 2019, The Who's Pete Townshend made the bold claim that today's players have “literally exhausted the possibilities of the guitar.”

I have great respect for Townshend, and the ways in which he himself pushed rock guitar's boundaries in his heyday, but I didn't agree with him at the time, and I certainly don't agree with him now.

Why not? Well, for starters, let me introduce you to Atlanta-based guitarist Donn Aaron.

Inspired by Eddie Van Halen and Alan Gogoll, Aaron has invented a new technique he calls "bubble harmonics." Using just his hands, and this technique, he creates aquatic and ethereal sounds on his guitar, almost entirely without the help of effects. How? Well, you'll just have to find out.

We've hit our target!

We couldn't have done it without you.

The truth is, when we spoke about aiming for 10,000 supporters at Novara, I was nervous.

On the one hand, our audience size being what it is, 10,000 seemed attainable. But making the leap from 6,000 in just a few weeks felt really far - especially in the current economic climate.

But thanks to your amazing support, we've got there.

Thank you to every single one of you who has shared our fundraising video, retweeted our progress and backed us in the past few weeks. We seriously couldn't have done this without you.

To celebrate join me, Ash and Michael live on the Novara Media YouTube channel tomorrow night from 7pm for a live #AskNovara Q&A.

Tweet your questions using #AskNovara, or head to our Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook to ask us your questions now.

I can't wait to share what we've got planned for the future. For now, let's celebrate together. See you tomorrow night,

Aaron and the Novara Media team.

10% off for 10 days
