Editor's Note
PRS enters the pedal fray
Sneers of "oh cool, another overdrive pedal!" be damned, PRS this week announced that it, too, has entered the effects pedal market.

Featuring three pedals – the Horsemeat transparent overdrive, Mary Cries optical compressor, and the Wind Through The Trees dual flanger – the company's first line of stompboxes is reminiscent, in a way, of Fender's proper entry into the effects market a few years ago.

Just as was the case with Fender's original line, there are no comic book graphics to be found (though they all look quite nice, we have to say), and no names that are too far out there (looking at you, Horsemeat). Based on Paul Reed Smith's own personal builds, these units look to, in Smith's words, "make the board and stay on it."

You can learn more about them, and hear some of the tones that they bring to the table, below.

"I stopped watching TV news a year ago, so sick of the bias everywhere. But in doing so, I was out of the loop. I decided to give 1440 a try & I've not been disappointed.
