"The Self-Heal Withers" (Microseason 27) Natsukarekusa is an ancient word for utsubogusa, known as the common self-heal, which has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. A perennial herb found throughout Europe, Asia and North America, it sprouts around the time of the winter solstice and dries up around the time of the summer solstice (which is today, June 21!).
