A salute to the guitarists we lost in 2022
With thrilling developments in new gear, and players of all musical inclinations pushing the instrument's boundaries in a variety of exciting new directions, 2022 was an action-packed year for the guitar.

Sadly, though, it's also been a year in which we've had to bid farewell to a number of great guitarists, who – with their work in pop, rock, blues, punk, metal, and more – helped pave the way for today's advancements in the instrument.

Today, we recognize those guitarists, and the contributions they made to both the guitar, and music as a whole.
