This is the time of year you will notice white beads of dew in the early mornings. Dew appears during seasonal changes (like between summer and fall) when the temperatures drop during the night and moisture in the air solidifies.

This week we bring you a sneak peek into one of our most-anticipated new restaurants. Almost 10 years since it was first conceptualized, Maison Owl is a cave-like restaurant that looks like it's been carved out of the earth. It was designed by architect Junya Ishigami, who helped bring the concept t life.

The eponymous magazine is dedicated to a Western suburb of Tokyo that just so happens to be our hometown. Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall


Although the heat still lingers, the skies and clouds no longer belong to summer. Fall is right around the corner. One way to welcome the seasonal shift into the home is through our curated selection of tea towels. The chrysanthemum, one of Japan's most beloved flowers, is a a symbol of early fall. The autumnal full moon is of course a significant celebration in Japan as a way of expressing gratitude for a good harvest. One of the most cherished leaves, for all its shades of red, purple, orange and yellow, is the maple leaf, or momiji.
