7 guitar-led covers of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill
Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) first landed in 1985, but thanks to its inclusion in a recent episode of Netflix sci-fi hit series Stranger Things, the track resurged in popular culture, heading straight to the top of charts in both the US and the UK as a new generation discovered its catchy synth-heavy melodies.

But the track was a classic long before Stranger Things, and as a result has spawned loads of great covers over the years.

Consequently, many guitar-led artists have taken a stab at the track with their own versions, so we've taken it upon ourselves at Guitar World to compile some of the best.

From a take recorded in the throes of 2020's Covid lockdown by Bill Kelliher, Emma Ruth Rundle, Yob and Old Man Gloom to Within Temptation's symphonic metal reimagining, these covers all show the versatility of Bush's original composition. Check them out below.
