Virtuosos reveal their favorite Joe Satriani moments
It's hard to believe, but – more than 35 years after his spectacular arrival on the guitar scene – Joe Satriani is still blowing our minds.

His new album, The Elephants of Mars, features numerous brain-melting moments of invention and technical audacity, and is a testament to how he always manages – year after year, album after album – to push the limits of expression on the guitar.

In celebration of the album, and Satch's legacy, we assembled 20 other virtuosos – all of whom were informed in their own approaches to the guitar by Satriani – to talk about their favorite moments in his formidable discography, and what they think makes him so special, unique, and inspirational.
