While practicing in your room, you've thought about showing off your skills to a hungry, loud 'n' proud crowd of tens of thousands, basking in their elation and the quiet nods of approval of those who inspired you to pick up the guitar in the first place. Rowan Robertson was 17 years old, and had played only local pubs and talent shows, when he got the call from Ronnie James Dio to replace Craig Goldy in his band. Quickly, that near-universal fantasy became reality for the young shredder, as he got to work in the studio with one of metal's greatest frontmen, and tour stadiums and arenas around the world.
