The greatest moments in electric guitar history...
On September 4, 1882 – back when horse-drawn carriages still had a virtual monopoly on the streets, and Chester A. Arthur was President of the United States – America's first electricity-generating power station opened its doors.

That, dear readers, was the first of the 50 most important moments in the history of the electric guitar. 

Believe it or not, our new list of those vital moments happens to contain another date from the 19th century, long before Fender opened its doors, or Gibson began shipping its revolutionary ES-150.
