Frampton's grand finale

Last week (November 16), legendary Les Paul-slinger Peter Frampton played the last show of his Finale: The Farewell Tour in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Seated, due to his ongoing battle with inclusion body myositis (IBM), Frampton nevertheless gave fans a show to remember, tearing through a 15-song set packed with hits (Show Me the Way, Baby, I Love Your Way, and Do You Feel Like We Do among them) and spirited covers.

The grand finale, however, was reserved for a tip of the cap to Frampton's friend, the late George Harrison, in the form of a stirring version of The Beatles’ While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Filled with tasteful, gorgeous leads, Frampton's tour-closing performance was a fitting live finale for a terrific player and – exemplified in how he re-emerged after the emotional performance to thank not only the audience, but his entire crew, from the bus drivers to the lighting directors – a true class act.
