Diamond Star Squiers
Last fall, we told you that Mike Rutherford had taken to using $200 Squier Bullet Strats onstage with Genesis during their arena-conquering The Last Domino? tour. That revelation made headlines in more publications than just ours, but it seems that he's not the only rock star who's recently become quite fond of Squiers.

Phil Collen – of stadium-rockers Def Leppard – recently revealed that he used Squiers for certain parts on the band's new album, Diamond Star Halos – fully stock ones to boot (Rutherford's, for the record, had some slight hardware modifications).

I'd go on about how this is more ammo for the 'it's not the gear, it's the player' argument, but I need to go add another famous player to our ongoing round-up of pro guitarists who play cheap guitars...
