Editor's Note
The rise, fall, and rebirth of Fender's Rosewood Telecaster
Fender’s Rosewood Telecaster made its debut in rather dramatic fashion.

On a cold, grey January day in 1969, on the rooftop of Apple Corps in London, it was used by George Harrison in the Beatles' final public performance.

In the decades since, it has been in and out of production several times, most recently returning to the Fender lineup in February.

So, what is it that makes this particular Tele so unique, and what changes has it undergone over the course of the last 50+ years? Learn about all that and more in our overview of the model's colorful history.
