Our Favorite Museum Cafes

"Frogs Start Singing"
(Microseason 19)

Maebashi Galleria, a new art complex designed by architect Akihisa Hirata, opens today. Housing numerous galleries and a restaurant, the project positions Maebashi to be a significant art city.
Rail strikes were common in 60s Japan, particularly around this time of year because that was when wage negotiations (春闘; shunto) would go sour. When they happened, people would just walk to work/school.
