The Spoon & Tamago Gift Guide

The 2022 Spoon & Tamago Gift Guide

Sometimes, particularly during the holidays, we can get so swept away in the deals and the promotions that we forget what the act of gift-giving is really about. For us, gifting allows a chance to show appreciation and admiration to those who helped and supported us throughout the year. The beautiful thing is that the emphasis is not on the gift itself, but rather the act of giving. The value of the gift is of less importance than the intention and thoughtfulness in which it is presented. With that in mind, we present this yea's gift guide:

tidbits from all corners of Japan

Some scenes from today's Chichibu Night Festival (秩父夜祭) held for the first time in 3 years. The 300-year old festival is known as 1 of Japan's big 3 (the others being the Gion and Takayama festivals)
A big congratulations to Japan for their win against Spain, advancing them into the final 16. Here is a graphic designer's take on the controversial yet victory-clinching goal.
