What we learned from NAMM 2022
NAMM 2022 has officially come to a close. It was certainly a more scaled-down affair than the last West Coast NAMM – the star-studded, blockbuster-scale January 2020 show – but there was still plenty of eye-catching new gear to go 'round.

Now that everyone from our intrepid GW team has made the long trek home to the East Coast or U.K., we've had some time to reflect on the show that was.

Here then, are our 10 biggest takeaways from NAMM 2022 – the stuff that grabbed the headlines, weirded us out, or just plain made us think. If you weren't following along with the show over the weekend, it's a perfect primer that covers all that went down at this year's edition of the world's biggest guitar gear show.

"I stopped watching TV news a year ago, so sick of the bias everywhere. But in doing so, I was out of the loop. I decided to give 1440 a try & I've not been disappointed. Finally, Walter Cronkite style reporting! Just the facts. I also love that I can click a link to see more on many stories. Keep up the good work!" Join for free now.

We've worked really hard to find the most ethical way to fund our journalism. That's why we don't have ad partnerships or some oligarch behind us that would get a say in what we produce.

All we have is an audience of people who believe in what we do.

Defy mainstream media, and back truly independent journalism from just £1 per month.
