"Who goes to Nerdville and takes their own gear?"
Even if you're not a fan of his music, you simply have to admire Joe Bonamassa's staggering collection of vintage guitars and gear.

Joanne Shaw Taylor – who worked with Bonamassa and Josh Smith on her new record, The Blues Album – certainly does, and was hoping to use "all" of it on the sessions for the record. 

For reasons you'll learn about in the interview below though, Taylor didn't quite go full kid-in-a-candy-store for The Blues Album sessions in the end. In fact, the sessions brought her even closer to her number one guitar...
